Reviewing the new apartment
The staff were exceptional. They were able to provide us with a two bedroom two bath apartment, knowing how well we loved ... the community and the surrounding areas.. Read More about Reviewing the new apartmentBy: Anonymous Verified Resident

We are long term residents in The Forest. This is our 17th year here! The management of the property has improved considerably ... since Lena Silva became manager. The maintenance staff has consistently been good over the years. We enjoy making The Forest our home. Read More about Home in The ForestBy: Sayan & Gargi Verified Resident

The Forest is a nice property. It's in a great location (accessible to stores/shops/metro/bus/highways) and is small and ... quaint. I enjoy the greenery and access to Rock Creek Park and areas of hiking. The buildings are noticeably older/worn. The crew puts in efforts to care for the grounds and keeps the community very nice. The mailboxes need to be updated for sure. The apartments are spacious and cozy. Some are quite outdated but it seems as though they are slowly renovating them as they go. The full size washer/dryers are great. The noise level isn't too bad but at times you can hear your neighbors and their pets. Can also hear the announcer for evening games at the school which isn't great I like that you need a fob to access each buildings. Lots of residents have pets and some very large ones. Not everyone cleans up after their pets. Also, the garbage cans can fill up quickly and often overflow. The staff in the office is top notch. They are polite and helpful and I do believe they truly care for the residents (so refreshing). It seems as though they are short staffed as the office is at times closed or closing early and sometimes it can be hard to get someone on the phone. The parking overall is fine for residents but visitor parking is tough. There are few spaces and you need a pass to have visitors after 7pm. However, you can only get the pass during the office hours which are standard working hours. Office closures also impact the ability to get a pass. That makes it very tough if you are not home to pick up the pass or if you are having an unplanned visitor or one on Sundays (office closed). I really hope that they can figure out a way to make this more efficient for residents. Overall I enjoy living at The Forest Apartments! Pros: Great staff. Great maintenance crew. One reserved parking spot per home. Grounds kept well. Quiet. Great location. Bus accessible. Cons: Visitor parking, hard to get staff on phone at times, old mailboxes, trash area overflow Read More about A Nice Place to LiveBy: Anonymous Verified Resident

Amazing. Staff is great and grounds are always clean and pretty. All of my maintenance requests have been done amazingly with instructions for us to follow left for us. Staff notifies us anytime there is anything happening of for changes. Love it here!

Caring & professional management and maintenance crew. Great neighborhood tucked away amongst the trees. Safe & friendly. Lots of fun events. The buildings are a little old, but the maintenance crew is top notch. I

Since I am in the Forest Apartments complex with my family, we are satisfied about the quality of services. The complex location has convenient access to shopping, entertainment, restaurants, schools, public transportation, major roads, etc. Also the office staff reacts in professionalism manners.
